Flying military flights

One of the plans we flew in was the stereo-typical military plane one thinks about.

The seats were..not so much seats as little canvas bottom slings, and they were lined up on both sides of the plane. The middle was empty except for some cargo and some training equipment.

Once you are in flight, you can unbuckle your seatbelt and throw down a blanket for picnicking or napping or playing!

You can purchase a boxed lunch for $4.25 per person. The meals generally include a turkey sanwhich, a piece of fruit, a bag of chips, a candy or gronola bar , a bottle of water and a can of soda. Not too shabby!

Emma thought it was the coolest thing ever to get to walk around the body of the plane when we were flying.

Jason and I were pretty much in disbelief too. It was awesome.

Sure beats flying commerical airlines!
