Easter Egg Hunt

(yes yes, late with this post. Better late than never!)

In our house, the kids put their Easter baskets outside the bedroom doors before they go to bed on Easter Eve. While they are sleeping- the Easter Bunny comes along and fills their baskets up! When they wake up in the morning- Lo! Their Easter basket is waiting for them!




I knew Emma would wake up before us, and play with her Easter basket contents. What I did not know is that she would ALSO play with Jackson's Easter basket!!! AAHHH! She broke into his Easter basket and took out all his stickers and put them all over the hallway floor.
And THAT is why we missed church on Easter Sunday.
Sigh.
Later in the day Jason hid Easter eggs downstairs in one of the side yards along our apartment building. The kids were so excited to carry their little baskets downstairs and find the eggs! Well, Emma was excited because remembers finding Easter eggs last year. Jackson was just excited to be carrying a basket.






Jackson caught on fast with the egg hunting! And when he found out there was candy inside? Oh boy, it was fun to watch.
And if anyone is wondering the secret to getting their kids to pick up their toys?


It's holding their Easter candy ransom.
